THE DUALERS
Ska/Reggae band from South London – joyful, danceable, high-energy music. Raph shares horn section duties with the marvellous Sam Adams on sax and Paul Bilson on trumpet.

ISAAC BIRITURO AND THE RAIL ABANDON
Xylophone music of North Ghana meets Folktronica from Leeds… singer-songwriter and producer Sonny Johns is behind this beautiful project for which Raph arranges horn parts and plays trombone and synth.

BRASSROOTS
7-piece Brass Band playing original music and arrangements of classic Soul, Motown, Hip Hop and R&B. Raph is a regular player and arranger for the band.

OCTANDRE ENSEMBLE
Innovative contemporary music ensemble founded by composer Christian Mason and conductor Jon Hargreaves. Raph’s involvement with the ensemble has included performances of Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale, and a retrospective of the music of composer Sinan Savaskhan.

THE BLOWPIPES
Led by the inimitable trombonist and poet Paul Taylor, this trombone trio plays an eclectic mixture of styles with a healthy dose of improvisation thrown in.

COMMON&KIND
Music charity which aims to bring together people from diverse backgrounds through the power of music and singing; produces stunning multi-artist, international concerts. Raph is on the board of trustees for Common&Kind.

KAZZUM
Inspirational arts organisation delivering life-changing projects in the East End of London and beyond. Raph is a Kazzum Associate Artist.

Music and arts charity passionate about the power of music to transform lives, with a special focus on Early Years music-making.

LONDON RHYMES
The brainchild of the amazing Rosie Adediran… new music made with and for parents for babies and young children. Raph contributes trombone to sessions and recordings!

SPITALFIELDS MUSIC
Organisation producing world-class music festivals and outreach work in London’s East End. Raph was a 2014-15 Spitalfields Trainee Music Leader.

BECREATIVE MUSIC WORKSHOPS
Inspiring young people through creative and active involvement in music-making, this organisation was co-founded by Raph and Phil Merriman in 2009. Recent projects include the Backstories Songwriting project.
